A JetCar is a sports-car-styled jet boat that you drive across Biscayne Bay in Miami. Rides start at $300 for two people and include a 20-minute boat transfer to the launch point, captain support, fuel, and a safety briefing. No boating license is required.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your scheduled departure are fully refunded. Inside 48 hours, bookings are non-refundable but can be rescheduled subject to availability. If we cancel due to weather, you are fully refunded or rescheduled at your choice.

Yes, free parking is available at the Miami River dock for all Funwaves guests. Parking instructions and the exact location are emailed with your booking confirmation. Ride-share drop-off is also straightforward and avoids the walk to the dock.

Miami runs year-round, with peak conditions from November through May when the air is warm, the bay is calm, and humidity is low. Summer is hot but still busy, especially for sunset cruises. We operate every day weather permitting and refund or reschedule weather cancellations.

Jet ski rentals start at $145 an hour for a Yamaha WaveRunner on Biscayne Bay. Life jacket and fuel are included, and the price you see at checkout is what you pay. We have an Early Bird deal that takes $25 off automatically Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM.

Our Yamaha WaveRunners top out around 55-65 mph in open water. Most riders on a Miami jet ski rental cruise around 35-45, which is fast enough to feel it without being scary if it is your first time. The high-performance models can push past 70 if you have ridden before.

We launch from our marina on the Miami River and head out into Biscayne Bay. Most rides loop past Star Island and the downtown Miami skyline. The bay is calm and protected, so it is beginner-friendly even if you have never been on a jet ski before.

It happens sometimes, and the WaveRunners are designed for it. Yamaha puts a sticker on each ski showing which way to roll it back upright from the water. We are watching the bay the whole time you are out, so if you cannot get it flipped on your own, we will be there in a couple of minutes.

Pricing is per package and depends on the boat, trip length, and day of the week. Our entry-level party boat starts at $600 for the standard package, with yachts going up from there. A USCG-licensed captain is on every booking, so you do not drive.

No. Every booking comes with a captain, so you do not need a license to ride. (Florida does require a Boating Safety ID if you were born after Jan 1, 1988 and want to drive a boat yourself, but that is not how our charters work.)

Yes, on every Miami boat rental from Funwaves. The captain is USCG-licensed and handles the driving so you can hang out and enjoy the day.

8 on the party boat. The yachts go up to 12 or more depending on which one you pick, which is enough for most birthdays and small events. Each boat page shows the exact passenger limit.

Yes, we are BYOB. Bring whatever you want to eat or drink. The cooler and ice are already on the boat. Open container is legal on private boats in Florida, so there is nothing to hide.

Yes. Riders 16 and up can drive their own ATV. Younger kids ride as passengers with a parent or with the guide. We keep child-sized helmets in stock for ages 8 and up.

December through April is the sweet spot. Cooler, drier, less humid. We run tours year-round, rain or shine, and refund the booking in full if the weather actually turns unsafe.
